Great pub, friendly staff, Racheal was lovely we were told of a 30/40 minute wait for food as they were extremely busy. The food was well worth the wait. Served HOT to the table which makes all the difference with the usual insipid food served in pubs these days. The menu is huge with a massive variety AND the prices are excellent, well worth the money. Will be back definitely.
Came to the VIP opening on the 24th May. Wow the makeover is amazing! The atmosphere of the pub is amazing and such a comfortable place to be as a family. The food was spot on, tried the new crispy sweet chili chicken and safe to say it’s my new favourite! No wait on food, mega mixed grill was perfect with steak cooked to perfection! Will be back to try the new bits on the breakfast menu as well as many more dinners and drinks!
Love coming here for family meal always polite nothing is no trouble! The food was amazing it came out hot and looked fab where as some places thats reasonable you don't get that. We haven't been in for a while but everything seemed much much better atmosphere, my son is autistic and struggles with certain meals and they allowed us to adjust his meal so he got everything he liked! Zoe i think that's her name? Not sure so apologies if that isn't correct! The food was that good i ask the name of the chef for this reason to give a review she even came out to ask if our sons meal was OK! 100% I would recommend going to king and miller in retford!
Booked a table for twelve to celebrate my 60th had a great time. Now bear in mind I've never been in before now but Robert made me feel really welcome and gave us a proper laugh. I've been to some of the finest dining experiences in the country but I really loved this and it made my birthday special.
We went to try the new menu that was launching today. We had the new big beef burger which the hunter topper on chunky chips and the double old faithful with the new smokehouse fries. Food was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent customer service and very helpful
We had the absolute pleasure of visiting King and Miller Retford as part of our Spectrum WASP residential, and what an incredible experience it was! A big group of 39 of us came along for a meal, including children and young people on the autism spectrum, and the team couldn’t have looked after us better. Special shoutout to the amazing staff team—Katie, Georgia, Lili, and Rachel—who were just fabulous from start to finish. Their kindness and attention to detail truly stood out. Nothing was too much trouble, and they created such a calm and welcoming environment for everyone in our group. The food was hot and delicious—with the children being served first, which was really appreciated. For our group, quick service with minimal waiting time is so important, and the fact that we were all in and out in about 1.5 hours was incredible. We honestly couldn't recommend King and Miller enough. The service, the team, and the whole experience were just fantastic. Thank you again for making our visit so smooth, stress-free, and memorable!
Been for a family meal tonight to use our 40% off voucher was extremely busy, but staff were attentive and friendly food was lovely and hot when it came great atmosphere will definitely be back again! Thanks for a great night.
We arrived at King and Miller this afternoon without a reservation and were able to find a table. The service was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered 3 adult meals and a children's meal, we all had drinks too and the total cost was less than 45 for everything. We will definitely be returning customers.
